Our Wagyu cattle are raised under open-air roofed sheds. This  structure reduces stress caused by natural unfavorable weather conditions such as extreme heat in summer and heavy rain. After 10 months, our farmers move their Wagyu cattle in individual rooms, usually two cattle per room, for another 18 to 22 months.

Our Wagyu cattle are raised with a vegetarian feed consisting of 12 to 15 different ingredients that include hops, barley, corn, wheat, soy powder, soy bran, alfalfa and seaweed powder, with no preservatives or hormones. Additionally, the farmers mix the feed twice a day to ensure freshness. This fresh and highly nutritious feed is crucial to the flavor of the meat.

Pure water is also of utmost importance on the Wagyu farms. The natural, pure water contributes the cattle’s everyday health and the quality of life.

It is a misconception that the tenderness of Wagyu beef is the result of the cattle being fed beer, sake and are massaged daily. However it is the breed that is genetically predisposed to intense marbling of unsaturated and saturated fatty acids (30% to 70% ratio) and not the result of massaging that the cattle are said to receive.
